New Dress Policy

Our local school district has announced a new policy towards proper attire. You can see both the policy and the article in the Kenosha News. If people would stop their bitching and let the administrators work this out we will never hear about it again. Then maybe teachers can teach and some of the more easily distracted students may actually learn. The problem is that teachers should not have to be doing this. The problem is with parents who have no clue what is or is not appropriate attire in the first place. This should not be a job for the teachers in the first place. But since it now is I hope that the learn how to enforce the rules equally and that the do not slack off. I have a friend who recently retired from the Milwaukee Public School system who has told me three things. First she said there are no standards. Second, since no standard exists no one is able to enforce them or the administration does not back the teacher. The third thing I was told was a reply from one of the parents who was called to pick up there daughter who said “Why are you looking at my daughters underwear in the first place?"

I am so happy that my daughter is actually attending a public school that has a stricter dress code then the normal high school for many reasons. For all the parents who are bitching I say get involved with a better cause and quit your bitching. These same parents need to be more involved in their child’s entire life not just what they wear to school. Get over it.

Summer Catch up

So the Brewers kept my summer attention for the first time in many years. But now they appear total numb and done. I guess it wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to listen to such arrogant Cub fans. There is nothing better in the summer than watching a good baseball game.

Jack is starting first grade this year. Maddy my baby is now starting high school. She will be attending a Bill and Melinda Gates foundation school. Harborside

Our State Farm Golf League is now over for the year. 16-18 Guys played nine holes every Thursday for the summer for 15 weeks. We were only rained out once and that was our first week. We played at Brightondale which is a Kenosha County course that has 45 holes. We played each nine holes three times throughout the summer and then went to one of the best kept secrets in Kenosha County a bar called Jeddy's. It so happens that I have stopped at this place before but on the Sled and they even sell gas! Tonight I had the best 51 of my life! I lost 7 balls. I had an 8 on a par 3 and somehow managed to par 2 holes. One of them a par 5. I bogeyed 3 holes and had 2 double bogeys. Add in there the 9 I took and that adds up to best round of 51 I ever had playing with a total of 6 people.
